Participation

Intended Audience

DEIS'10 is aimed at advanced doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and junior industrial researchers.

Selection Procedure

Specialized knowledge of the topics of the Advanced School is not required. The main criterion for selection with be a solid background on the principles and practice of database systems, and demonstrated research potential.

Application Procedure

Interested parties are asked to submit an application consisting of
  1. a letter of interest,
  2. a curriculum vitae,
  3. up to three representative papers or theses (co-)authored by the applicant,
  4. a letter of recommendation from an academic supervisor or other senior colleague.

Deadline for Applications

Submission at easychair will be open from June 15 to July 15, 2010. The submission deadline on July 15, 2010 (11:59 pm GMT) is strict.

Costs

Attendance at the seminar, including accomodation and full board at Schloss Dagstuhl costs 40 Euros per person per day.

Financial Support

We have raised funding to provide moderate financial support for a number of DEIS'10 participants. The request for financial support (travel grant, attendance grant, or both) should be included in the letter of interest.
