Status [31/05]: This page reflects the current status of the authoring kit

what is it ?

A package that gathers the QMath engine, the Saxon XSLT processor of Michael Kay and a few scripts to invoke them all. It is intended as a ready to go distribution for authors want to start now with writing OMdocs with QMath.

It allows you to generate OMdocs from QMath syntax as well as HTML using the ActiveMath stylesheets.

downloads

The authoring kit is available as a big tar.gz archive (3.1Mb).
Please download with your browser, locate the file, and run

tar zxvf authoringKit*.tgz.

All the updates will be made using the synchronization tool and this can used now with

rsync -rav klein.ags.uni-sb.de::authoringKit/

Which will list you the files contained in the project and, if you put a destination directory as second parameter, will receive the files, with a compressed stream, or synchronize your local folder to match the latest version, adding an "n" option to this will list the differences the program will need to update.

contents

Aside of the two third-party libraries (QMath and Saxon), a few readme's are stored for an explanation on how to install and how to run which you can also read from here: installation, howto.

The archive also contains the XSL stylesheets and the DTD so it is a good starting point for an exploration of the ActiveMath world.
