One Year in Bradford

My motivations to leave home, and then, of all the possibilities in the world, to choose Bradford. Presented in a form which makes the decision seem inevitable.

Life in Bradford

So what is life in Bradford really like? And what do I personally do here?

Bradford is not as unimportant as you might think. You haven't heard of it, but that doesn't mean anything. (I certainly hadn't.) The university is not big, but studying there is made easy.

Hiking in Yorkshire and elsewhere

My major spare time activity. And this is more than just a new pastime, it is simply making a new man out of me.

Again?

Some advice for other people who think about making a year long vacation (not).

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
