SOAP MOUTH - anti-obscenity band
If you are sick of foul language in music, we are the band for you.
Not only do we lobby Congress for greater restrictions on expression, we
picket music stores that sell CDs we don't like. On the side, we record
music with our propaganda so that more people start to agree with our
position.
Since language is an attempt to communicate thought, stopping obscene
language would mean stopping obscene thoughts - something that everyone
supports. We define obscene as anything with a strong opinion. There
is no place in society for strong opinions we therefore seek to eliminate
all of it by labeling it as obscene.
We promote the use of civilized words like "feces" instead of words like
"shit", even though both convey the same idea. We will soon form a more
conservative group and join up with the Censor You
Movement in hopes of controlling all thought that might be expressed
by humans.
Band Members
- Mark - vocals/guitar: He doesn't need to use words any more
extreme than "gosh" and "darn" - and that's only when he's really pissed
off at the world. He knows what's best for you and your children and
tours the nation doing spoken word shows when he's not meeting with
Congressmen and Representatives and lobbying for more restrictions on
the First Amendment and all types of art.
- Brian - bass: This guy once smashed in someone's face for
saying "I don't give a damn" in public. Way to go dude!
- Jordan - drums: Talk about being clean in thought. Man, this
guy hasn't thought of anything bad since his minister took him for that
full frontal lobotomy.
