The run time this project went from October 2000 until February 2001. In the context of this project a persistent storage of SDL process states on base of a platform supplied by project partner Siemens AG was implemented (state less programming model for service development).
Also the exception concept of SDL-2000 was used in SDL specification. For the graphic creation of specification with exceptions the SDL editor Cinderella is used. This editor permits also an integration of the SITE tools into the graphic surface. That was implemented also at the end of this project for practical using.
As continuation to VESUV in this project the emphasis the portability of the tools and the libraries.
In the context of this project also the development of the ASN.1-to-Java-Compilers (BER in Java) was concluded.
In this project with Siemens AG an adapted C++ code generation with appropriate library was developed.
There is a simulator surface for SDL/PR, whose further development rests, however, because of lack of application.
In this project broadband ISDN services of the next
generation were developed. As formal description technique for the
upper protocol layers were used SDL-88 and by way of trial also
SDL-92. The implementation of these protocols takes place in C++ under
different system platforms (WindowsNT, VxWorks, SunOS).
